The Intervention was the film I made the second time I took the Media Arts 123 Advanced Filmmaking class. This time I decided not to bite off more than I could chew. I decided to make a simple film with one location and two characters. To be honest, the story idea came about because I didn't have an idea on the first day of class, so I came up with one on the spot. I thought what would be funny and ironic? Then, I also tried to think of something topical and in the news. This is how I came up with the simple story of miscommunication and fear. What if you thought your financé was joining a terrorist organization, which in this instance was ISIS. What would you do to prevent it?
The film took eight hours to film with a crew of five and a cast of two. It was filmed in Panorama City in a garage setting. It was shot on a Canon 7D with a Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L USM II Lens.
